Black Women Speak is a community blog for black women of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities to speak from the heart to each other about everything! As black women from diverse cultures, we have our own unique challenges, a plethora of solutions and wisdom to spare. This blog for african american and black women is created just for you!
This is our time, space and place to share our ideas, concerns, stories, poetry, world views and more with our black sisters across the globe. Black women, just like you and me are destined to be mentors. We can cry, laugh, advise and dream together as part of our very own network through this blog for black women. We invite and welcome people of all ethnicities who may want to learn and share with us.
I'm afraid of what is happening to our children today. They are brainwashed. Music, TV, videogames and the like seem to be their teachers. I asked my grandson (who is now 21) when he was about 16, why everyone in his school is wearing white tee shirts. And I ask now, why the saggy pants? Did I miss a memo? Was there a notice sent out to every teen to wear white tees in the summer and the women to wear bomber jackets and tight jeans in the winter. Now it's stretch pants with short tight tee's, forget that your a** is huge, your belly is big and your cellulose is making everything bumpy and lumpy. Either that or refuse to eat and be paper thin. With young men and women nowdays it's more like kiss my a**. Young men used to wear colorful boxer shorts under their sagging pants, now they wear briefs with the butt cracks showing. In a minute they won't be wearing anything at all under them. What's this about, do they even know?
The world of big money media and retail makers have got their hooks in their noses and they can't or won't see it. They just want to be like everybody else. Why? I'M AFRAID we will end up with a lot of followers and no leaders.

Until they can see what they are doing is so out of order they will continue on the path they are on. The more we preach the more things stay the same. These young people are not dumb, clueless sometimes but not dumb most of their problem is they don't know where they come from they don't know their ancestors struggles and some just don't care to know. If they did they would be a force to reckon with. it's just so sad to see that we have a lot of followers and not enough leaders coming out of our young people. They have truly given up their power they treat each other like dirt underneath their feet the guys I didn't say men I said guys because a real man would never ever disrespect a real woman, but in order to get respect you have to be a woman of substance and stand for something besides a good lay. When you allow a guy to talk underneath your clothes it is what it is you have to teach people how to treat you. Until these young people respect each other and stop all that name calling and selling each other short they will always be in the shape their in right now which is a sad state. You have to love yourself where your at right now in order for other people to love you, if your a big person stop squeezing yourself into something so tight that's not sexy it's a hot mess and before you go outside looking a hot mess do a quick check in the mirror and if you don't like what you see in the mirror get out of that mess and put on something that makes you feel better about yourself. pull up your pants if you have your pants around your ankles looking like a pair of pants you brought too short honey pull them up it's not sexy it's a hot mess. if you are around here dressing like a stripper outside of the strip club stop because that too is not a good look it's just nasty and makes you look like you can't wait to get back on the pole. I hear the rappers talking about being the boss I'm a boss really? I can't tell because you spending your money on some of the stupidest things invest in something you can have a long time cars break down, teeth fall out I don't care how much gold you have on them invest in your teeth not gold. Don't go out and buy the studio time buy the studio so you can put in work anytime you feel like it. Invest in a good girl and stop all the baby mama drama, how would you feel if somebody called your mom what you call woman? if you don't respect your baby mama respect your babies enough and stop calling them out and young ladies do the same.
