First I would like to offer many blessings to all those suffering after the flooding and I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. This is more of a commentary about the press. I watched some videos of the flooding on YouTube and it was reminiscent of Katrina. The difference is that the flooding was so wide spread, which makes it worse than Katrina in numbers. What I wonder is why wasn't the coverage the same for this disaster? The press controls information. There was little to no movement of charities. The outpouring that went to Haiti was non-existent for Tennessee. Obama is taking some heat for not "doing enough" and some are calling it his Katrina. He declared it a disaster and had more federal support in there faster than any disaster in recent history. The next day to be precise. Where was the media? Where was the call to aid? When does the apology go to the survivors? The media is a waste.

The media are too busy asking one question and one question only, "Wonder how this is going to affect the upcoming primaries and elections?" They have no ethical compass in reporting anything, and obviously, they have no executives overseeing the partisan garbage they report. What news? Want news, you can read online, and read anything except for the major cable and traditional news outlets. News reporters need to not keep their day, or night jobs. While they're at it, their corporate executives should be in the unemployment lines as well. Don't waste your time with traditional news media is my take. You said it best when you said that the press controls information. God forbid that they should cover anything other than the same gushing oil at the bottom of the ocean.
