Black Women Speak is a community blog for black women of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities to speak from the heart to each other about everything! As black women from diverse cultures, we have our own unique challenges, a plethora of solutions and wisdom to spare. This blog for african american and black women is created just for you!
This is our time, space and place to share our ideas, concerns, stories, poetry, world views and more with our black sisters across the globe. Black women, just like you and me are destined to be mentors. We can cry, laugh, advise and dream together as part of our very own network through this blog for black women. We invite and welcome people of all ethnicities who may want to learn and share with us.
I read it in the Bible but it seems as though things are coming to pass. The prophecy must be fulfilled. I am a single Afro-American educated woman with no kids and no husband. I come from a strong matriarch that demands respect to the most highest. I am proud tol say I am not bitter when it comes to love and relationships whether romantic or with family. I say this to you, my family is being torn apart by selfishness, self esteem, insecurity. I can't help them and its heartbreaking. I am always there when needed. I've witness infidelity, physical abuse, and verbal.
My mom and older sister are considering divorce with their husbands. My other sister is separated from her husband because he beats her and cheats on her. My brother married a woman that aborted 2 of his babies. I learned love and sacrifice from him. My youngest sister is still bitter from the relationship she had with her son's father. I say this because I am the calm in the storm and I can't reach them. Everyone wants to talk and no one wants to listen but me. How is that we believe God is all-knowing and all powerful but we don't believe His word. I sit here tonight heartbroken because my family is drowning and I can't save them. The old against the young, and vice-versa. I'm too involved to leave them, but my heart is telling me be there even if they fall by the wayside. I want all of you women and men out there to understand this....your children are precious gifts from God because He decided you were worthy enough to have them. Your battle is already won, your children are not your hindrance, they are your gifts and you should cherish them as such. Times get hard but that is a part of life that you must deal with. Pray for my family so that they may find strength within themselves to not give up on Him. Thank you...Jah Bless

Sorry about the situation in your family that is breaking your heart. I can see why it would be heartbreaking. Remember you can't save the world. If you believe in God, keep praying. People make their beds and lay in them, hard though the beds may be. God bless you for caring about others in your family.
