Black Women Speak is a community blog for black women of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities to speak from the heart to each other about everything! As black women from diverse cultures, we have our own unique challenges, a plethora of solutions and wisdom to spare. This blog for african american and black women is created just for you!
This is our time, space and place to share our ideas, concerns, stories, poetry, world views and more with our black sisters across the globe. Black women, just like you and me are destined to be mentors. We can cry, laugh, advise and dream together as part of our very own network through this blog for black women. We invite and welcome people of all ethnicities who may want to learn and share with us.
Some folks like to refer to the Republican Party as the party of no. After last night's state of the union, they are the Party of Buts. Blah, blah, hot air, but.... Stale and lame!

The Party of racists. As a group, their lives are so insular, they don't know what other people are really like, and, as Drl Joy DeGruy says in her book POST TRAUMATIC SLAVE SYNDROME, they have been justifiying their belief system about us to avoid the cognitive dissonance (the rationalizing, the justifying) that came with years of upholidng slavery. So, prejudice and social ignorance rule their brains.

I appreciate your sharing your opinion. I, personally do not view the R/P as "the party of racists," but that's just me. To me only, both parties are as messed up as the day is long and racists come in all colors, shapes and sizes. Thanks for sharing.
