What's-her-name Palin's speech tonight was almost non-stop stand-up comedy. Perhaps she should be hired as a permanent fixture on Saturday Night Live, or BET's Comic View. It is one thing to poke fun at something or someone here or there in a speech, but the stream of one-liners targeting Barack Obama was overkill, not to mention offensive to me as a listener regardless of the target. Maybe I missed something? Was Palin contracted to do a Barack Obama Roast event? Well, I know who will be wearing "the pants" in that administration if the pair wins. I also loved scanning the audience with its 2.3 Blacks! Politics these days ranges from the SUBLIME to the RIDICULOUS!
